ACTIVITY BOOKING INFORMATION

Your purchase is 100% refundable provided you cancel your reservation at least 48 hours prior to its check-in time, unless your activity requires a longer cancellation notice, in which case the exception will be shown on your Activity Voucher and/or your concierge will inform you when you place your reservation over the phone (groups and a couple of airplane tours require 72 hours to 7 days).

Certain exceptions can be made by the Activity Providers, in case of illness (doctor’s note required) or other serious matters. Your Ohana Fun concierge will do everything in their power to get you a refund approval. Please remember that once you are within 48 hours from the start time of your activity, you may not cancel or reschedule it for any reason other than a verifiable medical emergency. There are no refunds on no-shows.

In the event an Activity Provider cancels your tour due to any reason (weather, mechanical, etc.) your purchase will be 100% refundable.

Important: You must call our reservation lines in order to cancel your tour. We do not accept cancellations made through email, fax or voicemail.

Your tickets will be emailed to you as soon as our concierges can confirm your seats with the activity provider.

You will also receive a call from one of our concierges in order to confirm you received your voucher(s), that you know how to get to your tour(s) and to answer any further questions you might have.

Once we receive your order our concierges will process it by calling the activity provider to confirm your reservation.

Our calendars do not show live availability, therefore there’s a small chance your activity could be sold out for the date you ordered it for.  In which case you will receive a call from our concierges with alternate dates for your activity of choice or other tours available on your preferred date.  

In the event you do not agree with any other options, we’ll void the hold placed on your credit card at the time of your order.  We try very hard to keep our calendar availability as current as possible, however changes happen on a regular basis.  If you’re trying to book an activity within less than a week, especially if travelling during peak seasons, we recommend calling us at 808-214-9283 to be sure your activity is available.

The reason we ask for your hotel information is so we know how best to give you directions to your activity.  By having your arrival and departure dates, we can also catch possible errors on your order as well as in the event an activity you ordered is not available, we’ll be able to look at other dates during your stay before contacting you with that information.

Since we hope you’ll be outdoors exploring the islands instead of sitting in your room, having your cellphone number will help us contact you in case of any last minute changes to your tour. We strive to make your Hawaii vacation and activity experience the most enjoyable.

It’s no problem at all!  If you’re unable to print your voucher(s) please let us know and we’ll send it to the vendor(s) on your behalf. You’ll still receive copies of your voucher and credit card receipt, along with directions to your tour.

Yes you do. Additional sales taxes (4.167% for Hawaii and  4.712% on Oahu) will be applied, and where relevant harbor fees or fuel surcharges may also be added.

Our rates are some of the lowest and Ohana Fun will never charge you more than those charges pre-established by the activity provider. Please note, we do not charge for our concierge services.

No, with the exception of some private charters, gratuities are not included in any of the prices. We feel that tips should be at your discretion and should be earned not expected. We hope that you will have an extra special time on each of the activities you book, and when you do, please consider tipping the providers generously.

Yes, we love to cater to special occasions and will make requests on your behalf to the activity provider, although we cannot guarantee they will follow through with them. We can offer you additional services to make your experience special such as a flower lei greeting or a fruit basket waiting for you in your room. If you are interested in making your activity more memorable then just give us a call and we should be able to arrange something.

Every single person in the country has been affected by the increased cost of fuel, and that’s no different for us here in Hawaii.

Our helicopter, boat, van and just about every tour operator has experienced a huge increase in fuel costs, and just like the airlines, they also need to pass some of that cost on to the consumer in order to maintain operations.

At the time of your check-out the exact amount required by the activity provider as a fuel surcharge will be added to the activity cost and sales taxes. These additional amounts are 100% payable to the activity provider, which means we don’t take anything extra here at Ohana Fun Hawaii.

Most snorkel, air and bus tours are able to accommodate young children, while some are even free for children under 6 years old. Our concierges will be happy to suggest activities that will be the most enjoyable for you and your little one(s).

While timeshare sales presentations are offered by most other activity company websites, we at Ohana Fun! are not affiliated with any of them. When you’re coming to Hawaii to enjoy fun and relaxation, having to attend sales presentations does not fit that criteria.

We have worked with our activity providers to offer the best rates possible. All prices for children are listed on the information page of each tour. For the most part they are less than adult prices. Senior discounts are also available on specific activities. We frequently offer special deals throughout the years where children go free when booking with an adult. Please ask your concierge for details.

Transportation is not usually included unless stated on your ticket along with the pick up time and location. You are responsible to arrive at your activity at the scheduled check-in time. With the exception of the island of Oahu (Waikiki beach), where several tour operators offer transportation as part of their packages, most other islands’ do not offer this, and public transport options are limited.

As a reference, a 20 minute taxi fare (round trip) will probably cost you as much as a 2-day car rental, so we highly recommend a rental car for your entire stay on Maui, Kauai or the Big Island of Hawaii. Please let us know if we can help you with car rental reservations or referrals.

Hawaii boasts beautiful and warm weather year round, making it a great destination anytime you find the time to book your trip. The coolest months are November – May (70 – 85 degrees) with some early morning and evening rain showers, mostly by the mountains (mauka side). July through October are our hottest months (78 – 90 degrees).

In addition to our faithful U.S. Mainland and Canadian travelers, Hawaii has become an international destination for visitors from Europe, Asia, South and Central America, making it a year round destination.

Our peak visitor season from the U.S. and Canada is between Thanksgiving and Easter, with the busiest time during the Christmas and New Year holidays and the summer months (July and August). If you want to avoid the crowds, a good option might be May, September or October. If you are planning on visiting Hawaii during the busy season, be sure to book extra early as some of our top activities sell out weeks ahead. Water temperature ranges from 72F in winter to 80F in the summer, so the water is never too cold or too hot.

Yes. All companies that offer snorkeling will give you a personal demonstration on the use of their snorkel equipment. If you are on a snorkel excursion they will provide you with all of your snorkel gear, all the snorkel guidance that you wish and many different types of flotation devices to make you feel extra comfortable in the water. You can expect the snorkel companies to put a lifeguard in the water with you too.

Passenger shuttle services are available between Maui and Lanai. Travel between the major islands of Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island is done primarily on Hawaiian and Go! Airlines.

Hawaii does not experience a time change during the year. We are 6 hours behind the East Coast in the summer, and 5 hours behind in the winter. We are 3 hours behind the West Coast in the summer, and 2 hours behind in the winter.

Early morning or late afternoon flights usually offer the sightseers some of the best results for their pictures or video, since the brightness of the sun is not so intense, allowing for some vivid colors. The weather in Hawaii is very unpredictable, which makes it even more exciting, as a little rain makes for some of the most beautiful rainbows. No matter what time of the day you choose to fly, your helicopter flight will be one of the most memorable events of your Hawaiian vacation.

Humpback Whales come to the Hawaiian Islands from Alaska every year around the same time to mate, bear their young and feed them in preparation for the trip back to Alaska. The official whale watching season starts in December and ends in May, but the months of January through April boast the greatest numbers of these majestic creatures.
