Flights take off daily, as early as 7 am or as late as 4 pm. This tour is a direct result of the change in eruption activity at Kilauea that started in July of 2007. The surface flows of molten lava can only be seen from the air. They presently cover an area more than eight miles long and offer uniquely spectacular views. Your unforgettable flight will circle the Island of Hawaii, home to 11 of the world’s 13 climatic zones. You’ll see the world’s most active volcano, black sand beaches, towering sea cliffs, waterfalls that cascade into rain forests and ancient valleys.
Your flight features captain’s narration of Hawaii’s history and geography, as well as window seats for all nine (9) passengers. You’ll board a Cessna Caravan, a turbine-engine, jet prop tour plane originally configured for 13 passengers. You will fly in safety and style, as your craft also features a spacious interior and air-conditioning.
Tour departs daily from Kona International Airport, weather permitting. Tours check-in 30 minutes prior to scheduled take off times and last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
